hiwi the kiwi

Yesterday hiwi the kiwi/ mark and chrissy came to our school. The two talker’s were talking to us about fishing and singing some songs with us to. They were teaching us how to measure a fish and what we should bring and talking to us about how our fish is getting extinked. They were talking to us about weather we should chuckit in if it was to small or to big.To measure there fish they have a kind a ruler to tell you how big the fish has to be like a snapper it has to be  30cm (from 27cm) long to keep it.

We sang a song called SOS (save our sea birds).Petrel was found washed up on the beach with a blue bottle cap inside it those are one of new zealand’s native birds they only breed in auckland there are only a certin amount of these precious bird’s left in the world. And also we need to keep them safe around water to so they dont get there mouth hooked so you would have to shoot a water blaster to get them away from your hook.

Also you dont want to hurt the fish by ripping there scales off so you bring a wet towel. You know why we put on sun screen to protect us from getting sun burnt so there scales protect them from germs so they don’t die.And if you put a salt water fish in fresh water it will rot and you don’t want to eat rotten fish so you put salt in the ice.
